Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential apartment community.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, common areas, amenities, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to resident, guest, and staff concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from on-site management and/or public services when needed.
- Monitor access points and community activity during patrols, assist with resident and visitor directions, and help support compliance with posted rules and community guidelines.
- Document patrol activity and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, complete required logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
