About The Position

As a Security Officer - Research Park Patrol in Westerville, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report concerns, and deliver helpful customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout financial services locations, including lobbies, offices, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter areas as assigned.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, reporting concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
• Complete required documentation such as patrol logs and incident reports, and communicate key information to oncoming personnel and/or site management.
