As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an education-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. By conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication, all in alignment with our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for education environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for unusual conditions.
Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain authorized entry in accordance with site policies.
Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, including assisting with drills and real-time incidents as needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate written reports and/or logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Collaborate with campus staff and other Allied Universal personnel to promote a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors.
