About The Position

As a Security Officer - Refinery Rover Driver in Pasadena, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while providing customer-focused service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license aligned with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documentation per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization as required, and directing visitors and contractors per site requirements.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol documentation, and daily activity summaries, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
