About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Anacortes, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, report hazards and/or unusual activity, and deliver clear communication and customer service to site teams and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and post orders, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to alarms, reports of suspicious activity, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, then notify site contacts and/or public responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify hazards and/or unusual conditions.
• Control access at designated points by verifying credentials, directing traffic and/or deliveries, and monitoring gates, doors, and restricted areas in accordance with location requirements.
• Complete required security-related documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
