Job Description As a Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver in Baytown, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle to cover assigned areas and respond to service requests. Bring strong customer service and communication as you support an agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of process areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and/or designated entry points by verifying credentials, directing visitors, issuing temporary badges when required, and maintaining access logs per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, access control actions, and incident response, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff to support continuity of security-related operations.
