About The Position

As a Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas, document observations, and respond to calls for assistance. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, processing areas, and the perimeter, checking gates, doors, and other access points for irregularities.
Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site requirements.
Complete detailed reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
