About The Position

As a Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas, document observations, and respond to calls for assistance. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, processing areas, and the perimeter, checking gates, doors, and other access points for irregularities.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
