About The Position

As a Security Officer - Refinery Gate Driver in Carrollton, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide clear communication and customer service while supporting daily operations with integrity and teamwork in a caring, people-first culture. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license in the job state is required.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
An EMT certification is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness is required for New York only.
Previous firefighting experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control processes, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and public responders when required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, spills and/or releases, and other policy violations, and document observations per post orders.
Monitor cameras, intrusion detection, fire panels, and/or other site monitoring systems, and complete timely reports, logs, and incident documentation using required formats and systems.
Support site entry requirements by verifying identification, visitor authorizations, delivery documentation, and required protective equipment compliance as directed by site policy.
