Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Grand Prairie, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a caring, team-oriented culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for everyone on site.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access activities, and emergency response support at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, yards, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or vehicles, following post orders and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate site contact.
  • Support day-to-day location operations by maintaining visible presence, completing required reports, and following Allied Universal standards and site-specific policies.
