Security Officer - Railway Station
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor government locations and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while supporting a secure environment. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license as required by law.
- Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
- Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public as needed while on patrol.
- Assist with access control procedures and verify identification as required.
- Document incidents and complete required reports in a timely manner.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
