About The Position

As a Security Officer - Academic Facility Patrols in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activities to appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors, students, and staff with directions and general information as needed.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points within the location.
Work collaboratively with campus personnel and/or local authorities during emergencies or special events.
