Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from property management and/or local responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol findings, and security-related observations, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and site contacts.
• Assist with building protocols such as after-hours rounds, key and/or badge accountability when assigned, and directing visitors and/or deliveries according to site procedures.
