As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests, assist with questions, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail and common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with on-site management and/or public response services as needed.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd control and/or line management when needed, and help direct visitors to appropriate locations while observing for policy violations.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observed conditions in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant updates to the supervisor and/or client representatives.
