As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conducting routine rounds and maintaining a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, document observations, and provide attentive customer service and clear communication to those on site. You will represent a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being able to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific access procedures, checking identification when required, and directing people to appropriate areas.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including monitoring for unusual activity and documenting observations in reports and/or logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations, noting hazards, unsecured doors, and policy violations for follow-up.
• Support emergency response activities as assigned, including assisting with evacuations, crowd management, and traffic or pedestrian control during events or disruptions.
