Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational campus location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service. You will observe and report unusual activity, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies, and/or coordinating emergency response activities when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, assistance requests, and notifications to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and common areas during patrols, verifying identification and/or authorization as required and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
