As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or reports, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver professional customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at entrances and restricted areas by confirming authorization, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and/or managing visitor sign-in per location requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and timely notification to supervisors and/or emergency services.
  • Complete detailed reports and activity logs, document unusual conditions, and/or preserve the scene for responding personnel when an incident involves sensitive healthcare operations.
