As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support staff and visitors with strong customer service, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to on-site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor check-in guidance as needed, and help to maintain orderly movement through the facility in accordance with site rules.
  • Document patrols, observations, and incidents using required reports and logs, and communicate relevant information during shift changes to support continuity of security-related operations.
