As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet residents, staff, and visitors with strong customer service, communicate clearly, and report concerns with integrity. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, and visitors at a shelter location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor management processes according to site post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Document security-related activities such as patrol observations, incident details, and shift notes in reports and/or logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
