About The Position

We are a certified security guard trainer and train our hires free of charge to help you obtain your license. As a Private Security FLEX (or Flex Officer) you need to be a versatile security professional who provides security services across multiple client sites, often on an as-needed basis, and can be on-call with short notice. You will not have a set schedule typically. The flexibility to adapt to different locations and unpredictable schedules is a defining aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • Must have an valid / active Level II or III Security License
  • At least 25 years old
  • Valid TX DL of 3+ years
  • No "At Fault" accidents or tickets in the past 3 years
  • Must be flexible with an open availability (Any day/shift)
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Meet and maintain all requirements of LEVEL II licensing for Non-Commissioned Security Officers including passing a background check as required by the Texas PSB
  • Communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing
  • Visual acuity and hearing ability to observe and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
  • Ability to perform general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and/or moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting, standing for long periods of time, and handling of materials
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Non-commissioned Security Officer

Responsibilities

  • Patrolling: Conducting regular foot or vehicle patrols to observe and secure assigned areas, ensuring all entry points are secure and monitoring for potential security threats.
  • Access Control: Controlling entry to a property by checking identification, verifying credentials, and enforcing security protocols for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Surveillance: Monitoring and operating surveillance equipment, such as CCTV cameras, to identify security risks and suspicious behavior.
  • Emergency Response: Promptly responding to security alarms, incidents, or emergencies, and taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Writing detailed reports of observed incidents, actions taken, and any security breaches for internal use and client records.
  • Deter criminal activity: through their visible presence.
  • Protect people and property: from theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
  • Enforce rules and regulations: of the employer or client's property.
  • Verify credentials: and control access to secure areas.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies, contacting police, fire, or ambulance services when necessary.
