As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail shopping location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests and tenants with professionalism. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to concerns while supporting a caring, people-first culture. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and/or employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations, notifying site contacts and/or public services as needed, and assisting with crowd control.
  • Monitor access points, observe foot and vehicle traffic patterns, and report maintenance hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or rule violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, use two-way radios and/or mobile reporting tools, and support retail operations by providing directions and assisting with lost property and/or guest concerns.
