As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support visitors and staff with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements
- Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and employees by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government facility.
- Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
- Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional presence.
- Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate via radio and/or phone, and document security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
