Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Multi-Property Rover in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and provide standout customer service and clear communication to tenants, visitors, and staff. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and property staff by following post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting on-site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entrances, loading docks, and parking areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials when applicable, assist with visitor directions, and document access activity per site procedures.
- Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate observations and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
