About The Position

As a Security Officer - Property Rover in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and deliver customer service through clear communication with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, offices, common areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, helping to verify identification, follow sign-in procedures, and/or direct individuals to appropriate areas per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial assessment, assistance, and timely notification to site management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete shift documentation and incident reports, communicate observations during post handoff, and support investigations by preserving information and/or coordinating with authorized personnel.
