Job Description As a Security Officer - Property Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to requests and/or alarms, write clear reports, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance, documenting actions taken, and supporting site leadership with timely communication.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or access concerns.
• Support access control by verifying credentials, managing visitor processing, and observing entry and exit points in accordance with site requirements and posted instructions.
• Complete required written and/or electronic reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and operate site systems such as cameras, alarms, radios, and access control platforms as assigned.
