As our SECURITY OFFICER PRN you will provide custody and security for public health safety and mental health referrals while showing sensitivity to the concerns of consumers and knowledge about community resources. Provide support as available for general security in ED area You will accept transfer of custody of patients during Emergency Custody Order Assist with emergency assessment by utilizing CIT skills including contacting collaterals, obtaining information, providing support to individual and family in crisis Provide referrals and linkages to persons and families Maintain documentation including tracking form and daily log and other requirements including ICR and other police documentation You will work effectively with road supervisor to provide timely information regarding additional LEO needs, end of shift transfer of custody, etc. Established in 1974, Henrico Doctors Hospital is a 340-bed community hospital offering cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, physical therapy, womens services and a 24/7 emergency department. Requirements

County of Henrico Police Officer or Deputy selection by County of Henrico Point of Contact
Completion of 40 hour County of Henrico CIT Program
Able to lift more than 50 pounds
College degree in law enforcement, criminal justice.
Have demonstrated ability to effectively use CIT skills in assisting citizens
