The Security Officer protects life and property of persons on hospital premises. Patrols hospital building(s) and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and other types of losses.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• DC Police Department Security License (SPO) required within 30 days of hire date.
• BLS required within 60 days of hire date.
• Required to attend SPO training in accordance with 1100 training.
• Previous security experience required.
• Hospital security experience or prior military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect life and property of persons on hospital premises.
• Patrol hospital building(s) and grounds.
• Prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and other types of losses.
