About The Position

As a Security Officer - Reception Post Driver in Woonsocket, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will welcome staff and visitors, manage access control and visitor logs, monitor cameras and alarms, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Control access to the facility by greeting visitors, confirming identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the appropriate area in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor entry points and lobby activity, observe for unusual behavior, and report concerns to site contacts to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from internal staff and/or emergency services as directed by site policy.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, visitor logs, and shift activity notes, and communicate pertinent information during post handoff.
