As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol galleries, public spaces, and surrounding areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and attentive support. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out assigned procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting security-related issues to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor traffic, and support crowd management during exhibitions, events, and/or peak attendance periods in accordance with location protocols.
- Assist with directing guests, answering general questions, and communicating professionally with museum personnel and emergency services when needed regarding security-related matters.
