About The Position

As a Security Officer - Plant Patrol Driver in Monroe, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and support site procedures with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements, backed by a caring, agile, and teamwork-focused culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving reports, gathering details, and escalating to site contacts and/or public services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues such as unsecured doors, abnormal conditions, and policy violations.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, assisting with visitor sign-in and/or badging procedures, and directing traffic and deliveries according to site requirements.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation including daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift turnover communications, and use radio and/or phone systems to coordinate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
