About The Position

As a Security Officer - Plant Patrol Driver in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service while maintaining open communication with staff and visitors. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and critical areas within the manufacturing and industrial environment to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees to provide assistance and information as needed.
Remain alert to potential security-related hazards specific to the manufacturing and industrial setting and report conditions that may require attention.
