Job Description As a Security Officer - Plant Access Desk in Council Bluffs, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas within a food and beverage production location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you interact with employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location, including access control for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Monitor and control entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the food and beverage facility.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential concerns.
Maintain accurate records of access control activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by site protocols.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to address questions and provide guidance regarding access procedures.
Support emergency response activities as directed, following established protocols for the location.
