About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Patrol in Richardson, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and respond to security-related concerns with a calm, customer-focused approach. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to stay highly visible, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with onsite personnel and emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, receiving areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with visitor direction, queuing and traffic flow.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate observations to the site supervisor and/or client representatives.
