About The Position

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Patrol in Sinclair, WY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and monitor assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity. You will communicate clearly with site teams, document observations, and provide helpful customer service to employees and visitors. You will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset while supporting agile, reliable, and innovative security-related operations.

Requirements

  • The post is primarily a driving post.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating clearly with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, offices, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unsafe conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at gates and checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor fixed post areas and alarm notifications, and report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and/or process-area observations through proper channels.
  • Complete patrol logs, shift reports, and incident documentation with accurate details, including times, locations, and actions taken.
  • Support fire watch and/or hot work monitoring assignments when directed by site procedures, maintaining required post orders and reporting issues promptly.
  • Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in designated areas to help maintain orderly site movement during shift changes, deliveries, and special operations.
  • Coordinate with site emergency response personnel and/or local responders during drills or real events, assisting with access control, accountability support, and scene management as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, and follow all Allied Universal and site policies related to confidentiality, radio use, and customer service.
