Security Officer - Baytown
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Patrol Driver in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol chemical or petrochemical locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and staff, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering an engaging environment where teamwork, reliability, and integrity are at the core of every shift.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the chemical or petrochemical facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security-related concerns.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
