About The Position

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Entry Control in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
One or more of the following: at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of experience as a security supervisor or manager, or at least three years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering and exiting the premises and addressing inquiries in a professional manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client site procedures.
Follow emergency response procedures when appropriate, including coordinating with site personnel and first responders as needed.
Adhere to all location-specific security-related procedures, regulations, and protocols to help to deter risks and support a secure environment.
