About The Position

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Entry Control in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • One or more of the following: at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of experience as a security supervisor or manager, or at least three years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering and exiting the premises and addressing inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client site procedures.
  • Follow emergency response procedures when appropriate, including coordinating with site personnel and first responders as needed.
  • Adhere to all location-specific security-related procedures, regulations, and protocols to help to deter risks and support a secure environment.
