As a Dispatch Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will support daily operations by monitoring alarm and camera activity, coordinating security-related responses by radio and phone, and tracking calls for service and incident reports. You will help maintain a visible presence, assist with access control and visitor guidance, and communicate clearly with site teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the dispatch center by monitoring alarms, cameras, phones, radios and/or access control systems, triaging calls for service and coordinating response in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, dispatching officers and/or contractors and supporting incident command as directed.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs and reports, documenting alarms, calls, radio traffic, incidents, key events and equipment status in required systems.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
