About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food Manufacturing Plants, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
- Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting store personnel and visitors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Assist with access control, opening and closing activities, and/or crowd management during high-traffic periods to support orderly daily operations.
