As a Security Officer Patrol in Big Bear Lake, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts. This is a Part-Time Security Officer role where you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As a patrol officer at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this dynamic role, you will support guests and staff through clear communication, routine patrols, and teamwork, while reflecting a caring culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related matters to site leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, hallways, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and amenity spaces while assisting with access control, visitor directions, and policy awareness in a hospitality-focused environment.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with hotel and resort personnel, following post orders, and completing assigned reports related to security-related activities and incidents.
