About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help support a secure environment. You will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible, assist with access control, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities in an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal personnel and/or public emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production or lab areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry points and interior areas for security-related concerns, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization when required, and document findings according to site requirements.
• Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate security-related information during shift changes, and participate in required briefings and/or training to support consistent post operations.
