About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Yorktown, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a distinctive hotel and resort location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support guests and staff with a caring, reliable approach while working as part of a team that values agility, innovation, and integrity every day.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a hospitality setting.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site management when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout guest areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directional support, and help to address unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
Support daily operations by communicating with staff and guests, maintaining a visible presence, and following Allied Universal post orders and incident reporting procedures.
