As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control points, assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism, and communicate clearly with campus partners. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a university campus location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or public services as needed per site procedures.
• Monitor access points and interior spaces during patrols, assist with directing students, staff, and visitors, and report unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and support campus events with security-related presence and guidance.
