As a Security Officer Patrol in Rancho Mirage, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This is a part-time position where you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. Security Officers at this dynamic media and technology location monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

• A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, production-related spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information as required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or sensitive areas.
• Support day-to-day operations by providing directions, answering questions, assisting with crowd and/or traffic flow during busy periods, and reporting suspicious behavior or conditions according to site procedures.
