Security Officer - Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol in Martin, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and watch for unusual activity around production areas, yards, and entrances. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and support visitors and employees with professional customer service. Requirements
- Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an industrial manufacturing location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access control points by checking identification and/or credentials, assisting with visitor processing, and directing deliveries and contractors according to site procedures.
- Complete routine reports such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate relevant information to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or the site contact.
