As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor verification. You will document observations, report concerns with clear communication, and provide customer service to employees and contractors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and shipping and receiving points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and documenting deliveries, contractors, and driver check-ins.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, medical calls, and/or disturbances, and request assistance from appropriate responders as needed.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information during shift handoff, and notify site contacts of security-related concerns and/or maintenance issues observed while on post.
