As a Security Officer Patrol in CENTRAL VALLEY, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail and technology-focused location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while bringing an an agile, reliable, and innovative approach to each shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail, showroom, office, and/or perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with incident response, and communicating professionally with store and/or site leadership.
