As a Security Officer - Patrol and Access Control in Jonestown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns within the retail environment.
- Assist visitors, employees, and/or customers with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as needed for incidents occurring at the location.
- Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
- Support the enforcement of location rules and regulations as outlined by site-specific policies.
