Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or agency staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, offices, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and help support authorized access within restricted areas.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required logs or reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift changes and with site representatives.
