About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Robert, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations with professional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, control access as directed, document activity, respond to alarms and calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a chemical and/or petrochemical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, loading and/or unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access points by verifying identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors, and visitors, and directing traffic and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting observations, and assisting with scene control as directed.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports and logs, including patrol findings, access activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
