This is a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position, a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Patrol in San Bernardino, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. The role involves a Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, through the Claim-A-Shift Program, you may pick-up extra shifts via a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for part-time hours one week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, public access areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions when required, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support staff and visitors with directions, general assistance, and information while maintaining awareness of site activity and following post orders.
