About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will support access points, observe activity, write clear reports, and communicate with staff and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials when required, manage visitor check-in, and document entries in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel and/or public agencies when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns per site procedures.
  • Complete reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and on time, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
